Many people are involved in the world of window cleaning, but very few actually become masters of it.
In order to become a master, first you must be an apprentice.
But What is an Apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship is a form of vocational training that combines on-the-job learning with classroom instruction. It provides individuals with hands-on experience in a specific trade or profession under the guidance of a skilled mentor.
Apprenticeships typically involve a structured program where apprentices gradually develop their skills and knowledge over a set period. They usually have a mentor to show them the tricks of the trade but still have to do most of the heavy lifting themselves.
After 10,000 hours of work through an apprenticeship, those apprentices become masters.
The concept of needing 10,000 hours to become a master comes from Malcolm Gladwell’s book, “Outliers.”
Gladwell suggests that mastering any field requires approximately 10,000 hours of deliberate practice. This idea emphasizes the importance of continuous learning, dedication, and consistent effort to reach a high level of expertise. Apprenticeships allow accumulating hours of training and experience, setting individuals toward mastery in their craft.
I don’t know about you, but 10,000 sounds like a lot of work to me.
If you were to work 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, it would take you around three and a half years to become a master!
Now I don’t know about you, but I have yet to meet many people willing to work 7 days a week, every week without taking a day off!
Add here:
The average person will work 40 hours a week and will take off for holidays, weekends and the occasional vacation. So the average person would become a master at their trade in about 5 years.
Think about that! FIVE YEARS!
The younger generations have been moving in and out of careers at an average of 3-5 years. So how can they become masters at anything if they are bouncing around so much?
The answer is they’re not.
How much time are you willing to spend to become a master at something?
What if I told you there was an easier way to become a master?
You may think I’m cutting corners or don’t think 10,000 hours of work is really necessary, but really, I am taking advantage of a time and true system.
The Answer: Franchising
By becoming a franchisee, you don’t need to start your apprenticeship from scratch.Instead, become your own boss in a company where the groundwork is already laid.
Franchising offers the perfect balance of independence and support, allowing your entrepreneurial spirit to unleash itself, while benefiting from established systems and brand recognition.
By joining a franchise team, you can become a master quicker by skipping the arduous task of building from scratch and focus on what truly matters – managing and growing your business.
Furthermore, franchising provides:
- increased buying power
- secure financing
- access to established vendor relationships
Franchisees enjoy increased buying power due to pre-existing relationships between franchises and vendors, allowing them to secure products at more favorable prices. With larger customer bases and the ability to purchase in bulk, franchises have the leverage to negotiate discounts that startups cannot match. This lower cost of goods enables franchisees to operate with larger profit margins and remain competitive.
Additionally, long-standing and trusted relationships between franchisors and vendors result in more favorable terms for franchisees, such as extended payment terms, volume-based discounts, or exclusive product access.
Franchisees can apply the same relationship to banks when asking for loans. Banks tend to be more willing to finance established companies like franchises, as banks perceive them as lower-risk investments.
These advantages empower franchisees to operate confidently, with reduced risk and enhanced profitability.
Embrace the opportunity to be the master of your destiny and a master of window cleaning. Let your entrepreneurial skills flourish like never before. Franchising awaits, ready to harness the power of an established brand.

He has also put in 10,000 hours of pressure washing, 10,000 hours of gutter cleaning, and well over 10,000 hours of business ownership. So let his knowledge and skills guide you to become your own master.
How to Become a Master
In order to become a master, first you must value learning over money.
You heard me! It’s not about the money!
I know the purpose of owning a business is making a profit, but to get there you must focus on gaining knowledge to become a master.
While financial success is undoubtedly important, it should not be the sole focus for those seeking to become masters in their field. True mastery requires a commitment to continual growth and improvement, and you can only achieve this through a dedication to learning.
Entrepreneurs such as yourself must recognize that knowledge is power and that investing in your education is an investment in your long-term success. By valuing learning, you gain a competitive edge as you stay updated on the latest industry trends, acquire new skills, and adapt to changing market dynamics.
This mindset allows you to make informed decisions and innovate in ways that can set you apart from competitors.
Moreover, the journey toward mastery includes challenges and setbacks. Learning becomes crucial for resilience and adaptation, enabling entrepreneurs to navigate obstacles, learn from failures, and continuously improve strategies.
Ultimately, by placing learning at the forefront, you can build a solid foundation of knowledge and expertise that forms the basis for your success and positions you as a true master in your field.
If you join me and follow my steps for success, you can achieve mastery and run a successful business.
Keep Shining!
